Homonyms Words List for Grade 2 and 3 with Picture

In this article, we are going to discuss what homonyms are.

Homonyms are the pairs of words that have the same spellings but different pronunciations and meanings. These words can be a noun or a verb. We can distinguish which one is used in a sentence by its position in a sentence.
For example,
If we say, the bat was flying in the room, we know that we are talking about the animal and not the object with which we play.
Another example is,
My eye doctor suggested I use glasses for better vision. Here we know that it does not mean the glass through which we drink.
To learn the same words with different meanings, we have compiled them in a list with short explanations. Pictures are also added for better learning.
